My name is Logan Reynolds [ aka Creed ] This is my story.

The beginning

I was born in August '93 in Fresno California. Just like every 90's kid I was obsessed with cartoons, video games, and pokemon cards.

I loved to try to recreate the art of the pokemon cards and would stare at them every hour on the hour. I was a 90's kid to the core and the overall vibe of the 90's will always play a major role in my art style.

The Turning Point

In February of 2016 I got to marry the love of my life and 3 months later we found out we were expecting.

This was when everything shifted. I knew I wanted to pursue art and had applied to the Graphic Design course at USU but I decided that wasn't the safest route and decided to relentlessly look for any "get rich quick" opportunities to make sure I could provide for my little family. Although I was trying to stay strong and be happy for them ultimately it resulted in me becoming depressed and distant from my family.

Luckily I married the right women and she put her foot down and said it was time for me to fix myself. I had to self reflect and ask myself what would make me happy and still be able to provide for my family and I knew that the world of art was where I needed to be.

So I bought an iPad, left my job in sales, and started to draw again in any spare time i could find.

The Grind...

Unfortunately I had no idea what I wanted to do with art I just knew I needed to make it work somehow.

So I was taking any and all commissions that came my way. It started with minimalistic portraits (don't judge me I was broke) and discord pfp's but then I landed my first client.

I got a contract to illustrate realistic life stages of a variety of crops and did that for almost two years. I helped design a few magazine ads for the company but overall it was just plants and although it paid well it wasn't the art I really wanted to dedicate myself to so I decided I should draw something at night that I enjoyed to see if I could land clients in the industry I wanted to be part of most, Gaming.

The Halo arc

I started posting consistently on Instagram with art I'd created based on the games I was playing and out of nowhere I got a notification that the official Halo IG page had tagged me in a photo.

They had shared one of my Spartan illustrations and the excitement from that moment made me realize I was on the right track art wise.

I trippled down on Halo and started to really dial in on my character illustrations and concept work. I'm also an esports fan so I leaned into the competitive side of Halo and made designs based around the teams/players competing.

This ended up being one of my best decisions because I landed my first official project in the Gaming space with Spacestation Gaming to design a team poster for their Apex Legends roster.

SSG and Beyond

Not short after we finished the poster I got another message from SSG to help work on a skin concept for Rainbow Six Siege. Obviously I jumped at the opportunity and within 24 hours we had the skin ready to go!

The kid inside of me still can't get over the opportunity to design something that actually went into a video game and I will always be grateful to Spacestation Gaming for allowing me to be a part of the design process.

The relationship with SSG ended up leading me to my current position in life as a Graphic Designer for a Fantasy Esports company called PlayerX.

Still working on the rest...
